The brand-new $160M High School boasts state of the art facilities and athletic fields.

Winchester High School, a public comprehensive four-year school, serving approximately 1,430 students, is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Winchester High School was named as a School of Recognition in 2018 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Stats

96% of the graduating class of 2019 and 92% of the graduating class of 2020 (slightly reduced, due to the impact of COVID-19 and general enrollment in higher education) immediately went on to pursue degrees at top colleges and universities.

Average class size at the high school is 14.5 students.

According to evaluations by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Winchester High School performs better than 95% of high schools statewide.

The Curriculum

96% of students complete advanced coursework. Advanced Placement courses are available in the following areas: Computer Science, English, Mathematics, Science, World Languages, U.S. History, Computer Science, and Statistics.

Students may choose from a wide variety of course offerings in order to satisfy graduation requirements and pursue areas of interest in greater depth. The broad range of courses is designed to meet the needs of all students. Courses in the core curricular areas have been aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks to afford students the best opportunity to achieve success on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System. Extracurricular Activities & Sports

Winchester High School (WHS) has lots of opportunities available for scholars to participate in outside of the classroom. WHS offers 18 different sports, with both junior varsity and varsity boys teams that scholars can participate in; CLICK HERE to learn more.

In addition, there are extensive extracurricular opportunities offered through WHS; CLICK HERE to learn more. In the past, Winchester ABC scholars have been members of various athletic teams at the high school, as well members of various clubs and explored other opportunities within the greater Winchester/Boston community, often through scholarships provided by these organizations.
